Project Update



As with most hobbies, real life has a tendency to get in the way. My apologies. I haven't been able to get back to S01E01 due to the fact that S01E07 has taken over my writing muse. It may have to do with Series Four of Doctor Who being finished. In fact, I'm pretty damn sure that's what's happened. Episode seven is where things start to turn around and focus on how Rose and the Dimension Cannon gets started.

I will tell you this about episode seven: It's bloody writing itself and is tripping me up emotionally. However, that state is usually where I do my best work.

I'll get back to episode one when seven lets me go.

A video edit I did.

I took Turn Left and edited out the middle of the story so that it would go from the attempted change to the result. In doing so, the edit needed to have a different set of flashbacks. Since Rose was the reason why, it made sense to include some shots of Bad Wolf Rose. BWR was able to see everything all at once, brought Jack back to life, etcetera and so forth. So it made sense to have BWR in it.

This isn't dead. I've been rearranging things. All I ask for is a bit of patience.

7 thru 12 is a bit muddled. I think that they are going to have to be combined into two episodes from six. There isn't enough story in the head to go between them without causing folks to fall asleep. =/

With the finale over, I have a better idea on how to keep things within canon without going too far off the deep end.

Since Rosewood is primarily about Rose...I now have a direction to go in order to fill in the missing years without much fuss.

Expect things to go forward with this.

Ok ladies and gents, now that I've seen the last episode of series 2, I think I can go on with writing this adaptation. The thing that's really been bothering me about this, is the direction the story has taken on its own. I'm not a writer that plans out every detail. What I do is set up a circumstance, and then write from the perspective of the characters as they try to deal with the situation.

The entirety of what's been released already was pretty much my way of setting things up in what was already familiar, so that readers could identify certain things. I have some cleanup work to do on the next few bits, but I have to tell you that I didn't expect certain things. I even gave up four times when I came to a certain place, because I knew I would be flayed alive for it. However, now that I've seen the ending of series 2, I think I can go on with it.

It's not going to be pretty. I just hope that you can ride this with me, because there are times that I hate myself for what comes through my fingers.

I took music clips, from several places within the first series, where I could find bits of the it that were relatively untouched by the show's audio.

I am distracted from writing to pursue the City of Heroes: Double Experience Weekend.

You'd think that after 3 years of playing that I would already have a level 50 character, but noooo... I like making characters too much.

Does anyone know of a program that will allow you to post to multiple communities at once?

Updating all the similar fic communities is a bit of a chore, and by the time I've done a few, I've gotten to the point where I can't remember which one's next.

I use Semagic now.
